- Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern all services and supply of goods provided by Gassingitup Ltd (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By engaging our services, you (“the client”) agree to be bound by these terms.
- Scope of Services
We provide installation, servicing, fault-finding/repairs, and annual safety inspections of domestic gas and oil-fired boilers, and unvented hot water storage systems. Work is performed by employees or directors of Gassingitup Ltd only.
- Formation of Contract
A contract is formed when you:
- Accept a written or verbal quote or estimate;
- Provide written or verbal instructions to proceed;
- Sign a job sheet or service agreement;
- Or allow us to begin work at your property.
If a tenant or third party requests service, they are deemed to be acting as an agent for the property owner/landlord. The person or party instructing the work is responsible for payment unless otherwise agreed in writing by Gassingitup Ltd.
- Pricing and Payment Terms
- All call-out fees and job rates include the first hour of labour.
- Additional labour (by the hour), parts, or materials will be charged separately.
- Payment is due immediately upon completion unless agreed otherwise in writing.
- We accept payment by bank transfer, card, or cash.
- Late payments may incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, plus reasonable debt recovery costs as permitted by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
- *Emergency Services
- Emergency breakdowns requested outside normal office hours (18:00–07:00 Mon-Thurs and 16:00-07:00 Fri, all day weekends and public holidays) are subject to an additional call-out fee.
- We aim to respond to emergency calls within 4 hours on a best-effort basis.
- Supply of Parts
- We use and supply OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) spare parts only.
- We do not accept or fit customer-supplied parts and will not provide any warranty or liability for such parts.
- Fit-only services are not offered unless explicitly agreed in writing.
- Ownership of any parts or equipment supplied remains with Gassingitup Ltd until full payment is received.
- Access and Preparation Requirements
- Clients must provide clear, unobstructed access to the boiler, hot water system, and any ancillary components (e.g., tanks, pumps, stopcocks, valves, radiators).
- Appliances to be serviced must be switched off for at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled work time to ensure safe handling.
- Failure to comply with access or preparation requirements may result in delays and additional charges.
- Client Responsibilities
Clients are required to:
- Ensure safe, timely access to the premises;
- Prepare the workspace by removing obstructions and securing pets;
- Provide accurate information relating to the service or repair;
- Sign off relevant documentation upon completion (e.g., service sheets, safety records).
- Warranties and Guarantees
- Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of completion.
- OEM parts are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
- Guarantees do not apply to faults caused by third-party interference, misuse, or failure to follow maintenance guidance.
- Right to Refuse or Withdraw Services
We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw services if:
- The site is unsafe or inaccessible;
- The client is verbally and/or physically abusive or threatening;
- Preconditions for service are not met in a timely manner;
- Payment terms from prior work remain outstanding;
- Or at our sole discretion, where it is reasonable to do so.
- Liability
- We accept no liability for indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including (but not limited to) lost income, accommodation costs, or property damage not caused by proven negligence.
- Our total liability is limited to the value of the service provided.
- Insurance
Gassingitup Ltd maintains appropriate public liability insurance and will continue to do so as a condition of service provision.
- Cancellation and Rescheduling
- Clients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
- Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a missed appointment charge equal to the standard call-out fee.
- If we need to reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
- Data Protection and Privacy
We only collect personal data necessary to perform our services and manage client relationships. Your data will be processed in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
- We do not share your personal information with third parties except where required to perform the service or comply with legal obligations.
- You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by contacting us directly.
- Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
